I feel sorry for these dogs they were police dogs after all

Whether they were Police Dogs or not makes no difference at all. The mistake made in leaving the Animals unattended in a closed van was inexcusable.

This was the 2nd July and since that time the individual who happened to be an off duty Police Officer has been dealt with in an appropriate manner by his Force. I believe he/she is no longer part of the Dog Section.

I too found this disgraceful and have posted elsewhere stating that this individual should never again handle Dogs. I trust in the judgement of his/her Senior Officers as to any further action.

People who should know better, often forget how hot a car can get. It should be a rule that animals are NEVER left unattended in a car.
I've had dogs for most of my life and would not leave them in a car. If I leave them at home and go out, I make sure they have access to both cool and warm places and of course plenty of water. When I've attended dog shows on hot days, I've even resorted to dressing a dog in a wet tee shirt to keep it cool.
 
It made me feel so angry knowing that this has happened! There is so many posters around saying about hot cars!
I have never and would never leave a dog in a hot car! i would rather take them with me as a dog is not a dog in my eyes!
A dog is part of the family there it should look after it! As i say to people you would not leave a child in a hot car! why would you leave a dog in a hot car!
It seems silly!
I am getting a standard poodle next month all being well! I would never think of leaving him alone in the car!

chummy passed away tonight as we watched tv! i held him in my arms as he passed away! i promised my mum and haley that he would live with us until he passed away!
Now i have lost them all! he was a old dog! i feel so sad at mo!

yes i am back, I am okay, silly as this might sound the last two days of the closeness and truth we shared has made all the difference! I have been able to lay alot of ghosts to rest!
It was nice to walk down the beach at blackpool and release haley and my mums ashes together forever now!
I wonder if haley still nags my mum? Trusting her she does, now that is funny in a weird way!
