Can't be 100% certain but one reason might be your body's stress reaction to exercise.

Was most of your exercise cardio based?

Urbanracer,

What do you mean about stress yes definitely in my life but how can you have stress to exercise????.

Although I could agree the anology of the above could you explain please.

Many people find their blood sugars increase during and after strenuous exercise. It isn't at all unusual. I can't even clean all my windows without a rise (not to the sort of levels you saw though!).

Exercise does not always immediately reduce your BG.

What kind of exercise did you do?
Are you often active?
The type, duration and your fitness in that activity makes a huge difference.

For exampl, I am very active.
Walking 15 miles makes no difference to my BG. I walk every where.
30 minutes running on the treadmill without reducing my insulin and my BG plummets. Hard cardio always reduces mynBG.
3 hours climbing and my BG rockets unless I increase my insulin. Climbing is short anaerobic exercise which I do every week.

Watch your BG for the next few hours: it may start to drop.

Our livers can store glucose for emergencies, when you need a little ooomph, some of that glucose may get released.
So this is a reaction to physical stress rather than an emotional stress......

Hyperglycemia and sport
High blood sugar, hyperglycemia, can also occur during exercise, particularly after short bursts of strenuous activity.

Strenuous activity produces a stress response which sees the body producing glucagon to raise blood sugar levels to provide the muscles with energy in the form of glucose.

This may have been a better link to give you.

Remember that by "emptying out your liver", you gain better BG control over the next few days. Increased BG is not a good reason to avoid exercise unless the increase is very high.
