Hello looking for advice really, I had insulin dependent gestational diabetes in my pregnancies which normally came on very early but after each baby it has gone away and give the all clear at my 6 week GTT I had my youngest baby 10 months ago my endocrinologist told me to keep an eye on my fasting levels so I have been doing it every now and then and this week my fasting levels are 6.3 the last 2 mornings, which up to this I would get 4 max 5.8.... I am planning on making an appointment with my doctor and get a GTT and A1C if they will do one.
I am breastfeeding which I always thought lowers your blood sugars? so I am worried if I was not feeding my sugars would be higher maybe!!!
I am going to ww to shift extra weight I have put on, I lost 10% but need to do more but thinking now I need to change how I am eating drastically really do not want to speed up the onset of type 1 but feel it is catching up with me now my eldest is 13 now and I had GD on him diet controlled though.
is 6.3 a sign I am pre diabetic is your monitor higher than a blood test so making me ok
Thanks in advance for any advice or insight
