Hi
I was diagnosed as Type 2 in Dec 2012.
In December 2014, I was put on Metformin. Strong family history of Type 2 and insulin-dependent gestational diabetic twice.
My HbA1c was 49.
In March this year, it was down to 43.
I had picked up my old hobby of running in the mean time and completed a few races, including the London Marathon.
My weight has decreased by 24 lbs.
My morning readings are 5.5 and below. My after meal readings are below 7.
The earliest appointment I can get with my diabetic nurse is in just over a month.
My annual review is in December. The last time she saw me (something totally unrelated) in May, she said that I should STOP losing weight.
Is it dangerous to continue taking my Metformin 500mg twice daily or should I wait for the review with the nurse?
Any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks x
