I find that my bowels are much more active first thing in the morning than at any other time (I think this is natural/normal). So I would suggest making time to use the toilet at home before work. One thing my gastroenterologist recommends is allowing time to use the toilet for as long as necessary and to relax and read a book or something. I like to spend as little time in there as possible so this is hard for me to do, lol.
I have had acid reflux for many years. In my case it is worse whenever I am constipated. I believe the bowel signals that it doesn't want any more food, so the stomach does the same and it contracts and pushes food back up the oesophagus. There are many things that can cause reflux, and some tips I could give you for managing it. What do you think might be causing it in your case? Could it be a drug side effect? I encourage you to raise the matter with your doctor too.
