Great, now I've been diagnosed with IBS as well!!! Food seems to have been going straight through me and finding it difficult to gain my weight back I originally lost pre diagnosis. Now having to take mebverine (scuse the spelling) to help the food stay in my system longer so the nutrients can be absorbed. On a positive, where my blood sugars have been 6/7 2 hours after food, I would normally need a small snack with the smallest of activity to prevent a hypo. At lunch and again at tea after taking the tablet 20 mins before food I had no snack after as a trial and dropped very gradually to a good 5.5/6 before my next meal. So a bit more planning before food so my tab is taken 20 mins before.

Sorry to hear Brett ! Just as your diabetes was coming under control, mother nature gives you another little jab in the eye ! I'm sure eventually you'll get your head round things. You're a smart lad and this is just another hurdle to you, not a brick wall ! Stay strong buddy ;-)

Thanks mo , yeah just another hurdle. I'm all good, anything that will help I will happily grab lol. Has been a very long winded process to get diagnosed as had symptoms for a very long time and alot of tiredness from time to time which doc said probably down to that. Time will tell as with all things but from today's results looks to be on right track so pretty happy.

Hi Brett wishing you all the best and hope you are not experiencing pain with your IBS as I know it can cause excruciating pain and discomfort to some sufferers. As if diabetes and depression isn't enough to cope with. Sending hugs Coco 8)

Thanks coco, have had irregular bouts of stomach pain, sharp stabby ones, but tends to come and go very erraticly. All good at the moment though :D
