Over the last three days my libre sensor has started to read much much higher than before, ( average 2 mols) . It has occurred to me that I have also been using a topical pain killer to try to decreases the pain in the arm that was dislocated ,which is also the one the sensor is on.

Does anyone have any experience of seeing different numbers as a result of using a topical pain reliever?

I don´t have an answer, but feel so sad that your arm still Hurts that much... send you a virtual hug from me <3

Thanks Freema, I'm told the problem is that as well as the dislocated shoulder I tore the ligaments quite badly and am quite lucky I didn't severe it completely. The doctor said 18 months and physio for a recovery. I must admit I would be so pleases if I got just one night's actual sleep. i haven't really slept more than an hour at a time since it happened and that is starting to wear me out !

yes that is a very hard condition to be in.... your BG numbers are actually rather good compared to what situation you are in now...

maybe you could get some morphine tablets only to take for night time like only for a month , so you will not get a break down mentally too.. then you could take them only every other day to not get too addicted of them... my mother gets that for her right arm at the moment which hurts so much , she is going to get an operation in january ... she uses these morphine tablets as Little as possible but do use them when needing the relief to sleep or some day where we go to fitness.... where she does all the excercises that doen´t involve 2 arms ...

I am back to the hospiatl on 6 Jan, if I'm not getting any sleep by then I will see about getting a prescription for something to help. It had never occurred to me that such a simple falling over could be quite as drastic as this is proving to be !
