I'm reading everything I can on here so that I will be well armed in the future and I've read different things about what can cause levels to rise. So can someone please tell me if you have raised inflammation levels (caused by other illnesses) could this be the (or 1 of the) reason for raised BG results?

This is more in hope than anything else but, if the answer is yes, would a lowered inflammation level also mean a lowered BG result? Or once they are raised they will always rise with triggers?

I hope the questions make sense. Thanks.

Not an idiotic question at all x Any stress on your system can cause your levels to rise - illness, stress, extremes of temperature, bereavement, anything really that throws you out of kilter.

Hi doolalylady ☺ everything raises your blood sugars except insulin, exercise and not eating! Illness, stress, injury, hormones etc will raise ur sugars. I sometimes find having a good cry is enough to raise my sugars lol if you are experiencing high levels i would look at diet and insulin first. Diabetes uk have a carb counting booklet on their website that takes you through everything. Very helpful!
