If my ophthalmologist recommends a Vitrectomy next time..

Do I jump at the chance of having one done? Or try to convince him about having one more laser session to seal the bleeds then anti-VEGF injections to stop further growth? It’s mainly my right eye which has lots of little bleeds, dark spots, string/worms in peripheral after 6 laser sessions and 6 months after diagnosis of proliferative retinopathy. (Yeah I thought it was 7 but lost count and feel a bit more hopeful that next might be the last?) Though looking through the fish tank haze makes me wonder how the heck they can fix it all. But enough about that. Is Vitrectomy a good thing to have if I still have somewhat good vision in that eye but the little bleeders everywhere are relentless?
