Sometimes I just use lean mince and like you said you can add virtually anything. Adding a small egg just binds it all together. Thanks for the tip
Homemade burgers are great fun too, you can make so many variations, haven't found better in the shops but haven't tried those so...
Egg! I hate egg! This might be a way I could make myself eat some! You are a genius!Sometimes I just use lean mince and like you said you can add virtually anything. Adding a small egg just binds it all together.
Try adding a little curry paste, that is wicked.

Butchers Selection 4 quarter pounders beef burgers. If you like a nice juicy meaty burger, then these are for you. I have these with shredded lettuce/carrot mix, a blob of yoghurt sauce on the side, fried onions on top and a squirt of lemon on top of the burger. Almost like a Shammy Kebab but without the spice. If you want to make it into a shammy kebab....................
let the burgers defrost and put them in a mixing bowl.
squash them up with your fingers until mincemeat consistency.
add a teaspoon of Garam Masala, handful of Coriander, either 2 chopped up green chillies or a sprinkle of chili powder, and 2 teaspoons of Kasuri Methi (fenugrec)
add 1 small egg and mix the lot together.
take a small quantity of the mix and flatten it out in the palm of your hand. Place the burger in a frying pan on medium heat and fry til cooked through.
serve with the yoghurt sauce, shredded lettuce and shredded carrot mix and put either a slice of lemon on the plate or use some Jif lemon.
2 x the original burgers will make 10-12 smaller, flatter Shammy kebabs
Alternatively go to your local Indian and order some.

Another reading, omg. You have developed OMD-Obsessed by Meter Disorder lolJust taken another B S reading to show you that it wasn't going to spike after 2 hours. At 7.15pm it was 6.5, at 9.12pm it was 6.2 and at 10.45pm it was 5.7 and I still feel really full.
Cheers Noblehead, you have solved my dinner dilemma, going to get some extra lean mince n garlic and make some homemade burgers. TaAnd don't forget the garlic
Home-made burgers are always the best using a good quality mince.

I make my own.
Make two thin burgers.
Place cheddar cheese on the top, in the centre of one.
Seal it all together with the other burger, for an inside out cheese burger, which you then cook as normal.
I tend to use ghost chilli in mine, rather than garlic, but I suspect it's an acquired taste.
