Was gonna post this in the Type2 section, but its applicable to anyone that uses NHS Scotland.

If you have diabetes, any form then you can access all of your diabetes related results online by registering at www.mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk/

I know most people might know about this, but i reckon there are loads of people that don't!!! Its worth doing so you can understand what the Doctors are looking at, and to help monitor your levels in the long run. Its completely free... Probably more useful for Type 2's or those that have regular bloods taken... :)

Yep, I've been on it for a few years now and it's really good. Gives graphs of all your results against what they should be. It's good for seeing how you've improved, or otherwise, over the years. Plus most of the time the receptionists won't give blood results over the phone but this lets you see all the results, blood, feet, eyes, everything!

Many thanks for posting this. I live in Scotland and hadn't been told about this. I was diagnosed type 2 in March. Still waiting on my course. Told diabetic nurse that I am following Lchf diet and just been really to get on with it. Recommended to not test bloods too often. Told to lose weight and I would know what to do. Thanks know goodness for this site.

It's very good!

I was signed off work when diagnosed in April '14 and my work's doctor required copies of my medical records; which cost me something like £40! The information he was needing was in relation to my diabetes so I could have simply logged into the site and showed him at his computer.

Worth its weight in gold considering you need to pay to access your own medical records. Something I still can't come to terms with!
