Hi I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes In June last June hba1c I think that's what it's called was 107 in 6 months it was 42. I'm not really sure how I did it i guess I was very strict and scared at start. Now I've got complacent and am not watching what I eat etc I feel lost and don't know hiw to get back what I should be avoiding and what is OK to eat drink I'm scared I'm doing damage but can't seem to help myself praying for dome support. I take 2 metformin twice a day and 3mg trulicity once a week and feel they are doing the work not me. Thank you in advance

Did you get your HbA1c down by reducing carbs?
Even though I'm in remission and let myself have a few more carbs I'm still fairly strict. But I have low carb treats such as chocolate mousse made with 2 squares of 85% or 90% dark chocolate, double cream and a little sweetener, or a fake rhubarb crumble using ground almonds instead of flour (and just a little butter).
This week I'm having a low carb spice cake which includes cream cheese in the recipe - made last week and the pre cut pieces kept in the fridge.

@TriciaWs thank you so .much for reply. Yes I think I did I cut out white bread did wholemeal same with pasta cut back on alcohol and sweet treats. But I've 2 toddlers living with me at minute temptation is every where and I'm struggling to plan meals. Not a great veggie fan. I just feel scared and lost
