Hi all. I'm Dave, a teacher from Manchester. diagnosed November 2008. Went through the usual roller coaster of emotions and have now started to get my head around it. Have been following a low carb diet since diagnosis, don't really count them but guesstimate 30-50g a day. So far so good, first couple of weeks were tough but I now feel quite liberated from the carb addiction that I had. Early days yet but it feels like a complete change of a way of life rather than a 'diet'. Am benefiting greatly so far. thanks to everyone who has helped along the way!
