On slow release metformin...on a diet...cut all added sugar,cakes,sweets and chocolate....3 weeks in...trying to get to grips with it all...feel ok most of the time...sugar cravings are still quite strong..havnt given in...yet !!
Hi and welcome. You are doing the right things for a T2. Just keep going and having enough proteins and fats to keep you feeling full. The carb craving should gradually fade. 85% Dark Chocolate is OK if you still want some semi-sweet stuff.

Welcome! Im new to this too. Am cutting carbs added to the never ending list and finding if i eat a hearty protein salad late-ish it keeps off the carb craving good luck!
Lots of people say they lost their carb/sugar cravings but I still have a sweet tooth and make occasional low carb cake with ground almonds instead of flour and erythritol instead of sugar, I also managed to swap from milk chocolate to 85% dark and have a couple of small squares.
In the evening I found a small piece of cheese helps.
