I find the more conflicting things I read about dealing with diabetes, the more confused and frustrated I am becoming lately.
I seem to be hopelessly up and down with my own readings (probably down to stress) and I stupidly forgot my insulin the other evening. I remembered it just before bed, so had it then followed by a banana.I awoke somewhat shaky at about 2.00 with a reading of 10.2. Then fell asleep, only to awake again a couple of hours later really wobbly. Reading had gone down to 3.4. Hubby had to hold my head up to get some orange juice into me and then I was fine.
I sometimes feel that I'm fighting a losing battle and then get down because I worry so much about long-term complications and even if I try really hard there seems to be no rhyme nor reason to my wildly swinging readings.
Sorry, just needed a five-minute moan. Normal service will be resumed as soon as poss.
