Indian Takeaway

When I was first diagnosed I couldn't have any bread. A tried a bit of a naan and tested quite high after.

6 months in, 5 stone and a total lifestyle change later, I can have a curry with naan or a little rice (but not both at once) and it does not cause a rise anymore.

Every one is different, just get a meter and test so you are armed with the right info, or you are in danger or not cutting enough, or cutting too much and ending up burning out.

I usually have a tandoori starter, sag paneer and veg dish and ask for extra salad if eating at restaurant, but if ordering in have some cauliflower rice with it, I can get away with sharing a chapati but naan bread sends me way over the top!

I love indian foor as I am vegetarian. I found out a good trick for them: only eat 1/2 or preferable 1/3 of the rice. Naturally nan bread is completely out of question. Which is a shame I LOVED nan bread, specially the sweet ones.
