Hello,

I have been using sure-t infusion set for about 3 months now and I am developing some kind of bumpy rash at the area where additional adhesive pad stays. I am moving my sites regularly but no matter where I put it I end up with an itchy, crusty, bumpy horrible rush. How do i address it? Other infusion sets did not work for me at all, so what options do I have? Is there anyone experiencing the same or had in the past? It is starting to look very ugly! Thanks in advance,

Yuliya.

If you can't swap to another infusion set..

You need to ask your nurse for a barrier such as Cavalon Spray (not the cream) you spray onto the skin to create a barrier between the skin and adhesive..

Or There's tagaderm, which is a very thin dressing, which again you stick onto the skin then stick the infusion tape on top..

And there's several others available as well, you just need to ask your DSN or even your surgery practice nurse

SkinSafe spray might be ok. You can get it as a free sample from Opus. The company is brilliant as they also do LiftPlus spray which makes removing the set adhesive when you pull it off so much easier..

Hello again, Many thanks to both of you for your advice I am having an appointment with the nurse next week to discuss the issue. I will inquire about products you mentioned! Many thanks again!!!!!:)))))))
