I have just downloaded the 2014 cook book and the recipes look really nice but have a query what are/is
Quinoa
Omega seeds
Chia seeds
As I have never heard of them and where do you get them from as I’ve never seen them in Asda or Tesco’s

I just tapped it into google!

these are seeds, which can substitute for rice and have less carb. I like Quinoa in particular. Actually now i've added Bulgar wheat to the list for our family. I find all of them in Waitrose, but of course you can buy online. I'd also try Holland and Barrett. I don't know about most other supermarkets. I don't use Tesco or Asda. I divide my shopping between Lidl and Waitrose. Lidl doesn't have Those seeds.

Tesco have them on the healthy glutton free aisle. I saw China seeds and quinoa and the dreaded linseed pips.

A man asked me about spelt flour ( I must have looked knowledgeable for a chAnge) I said to try Holland n Barrett or Asian shop (seem to sell everything).

My dn today suggested making my own bread using wholemeal flour and linseed, and peanut or coconut oil. I'll h ave a bash at it, my breadmakers gathering dust. I might try spelt flour as well. she also suggested sour dough as well. I've seen that mentioned on here. So might see how it goes.

Thanks for the help folks I got the Quinoa and Chia seeds at Tesco's today
