Injections vs Pump

I've just had trouble getting pump consumables and have had to revert to injections. This is in Australia. When I disconnected from the pump yesterday I was amazed by the sense of freedom I suddenly had. And then realised the many disadvantages of the pump, most of which I had chosen to ignore. Now thinking of staying on injections.

I'd appreciate anybody sharing their experience if they have moved from the pump back to injections.

Big thanks

Carol

I believe @donnellysdogs has done this...? If my memory serves me right..??

I hope I'm not wasting anyone's time...

that's interesting @CarolWoods as I was thinking about getting a pump too. I'm in Australia. But I saw the recent changes this month and wondered about how easy it is to get the supplies for pumps. Hmmm sounds like I should just stick to MDI then... at least I know I can get needles easily.

Thanks Jaylee, you are definitely not wasting mine. I believe I saw something similar from Spiker as well but can never find threads again.

Alas, Spiker hasn't been around on here for a good while... :(

I'll have a dig about & see what can be found.. Most topics tend to be MDIers contemplating going on the pump..?
Which is why I thought @donnellysdogs . She has mentioned "taking breaks from it" & going back to multiple dailies..

Hi @CarolWoods

I would give it a few more days/ weeks before deciding for sure if you want to go back on injections for good, the reason being the sudden sense of freedom may be short-lived and some old problems may resurface.

Sure there's people who do go back on injections, both DD & Spiker did just that as mentioned above, pumps are not for everyone and there's no shame in admitting when something isn't right for you.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.
