Type 1 Insomnia/Menopause

Hi All,

I'm 48 and have been perimenopausal for a couple of years. I just wondered how people deal with insomnia (I never had any trouble sleeping until recently and have been told that this is a symptom of the menopause). Sleeping pills are obviously not advisable for people with diabetes so I just wondered what others do about this problem?

I find that melatonin works rather well for me.
