Hi I've just started taking these tablets and find my glucose levels have gone up, anybody else find
this happening Robin

The tablets contain lactose and should not be administered in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

The above from the SPC (Summary of Product Characteristics). You may well be one of those who has difficulty with the absorption and it is affecting your Bg levels. That is one of the reasons why it is supposed to be prescribed with care in those who are Diabetic. Lactose and Galactose are both Carbohydrates....more specifically sugars ! Galactose is a chemical component of lactose, and lactose is a milk sugar that you take in whenever you consume dairy or as here in a tablet. Your digestive system breaks down lactose into its components which include galactose, and these are used to provide energy to your body cells.

Now, did your Bg levels rise because of a tiny tablet.......or because of something else you did/ate or drank ?

You need to discuss this medication with your GP.
