soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I don't buy the commercial soup in a cup stuff. Firstly it's high in carbs for its food value and secondly, I hate the taste.
What I do is put 1 tablespoonful of Bovril [or Marmite] in a mug with a similar amount of tomato paste. Add boiling water and stir. let cool a minute ot two and delicious low carb soup with useful nutrients.

Very high sodium.
About half a gram, one serving is about 1/4 of the rda for a healthy person, and about 1/3 the rda if you're diabetic.
Tomato puree has a high sugar content, a similar sized serving could have 2 or 3 g of sugar in it.
Oddly enough, tomato puree is something I react badly to.

For comparison, Beef and tomato Cup a soup is half a gram of sodium per serving, with 16g carbs, of which 4g are sugar.
Oxtail is better, same sodium, but 13g carbs, and which 1.5g is sugar.

Soup was a favourite bedtime drink for me.

My dietician advised to give up the soup, and try something else instead.
Still looking

I make different kinds of soups.
Cauliflower is one of my favourites, but it needs a little cooking. takes maybe 1/2 an hour.
First break a cauliflower into florets and steam [20minutes or so] Can use any kind of steamer
finely dice an onion and fry in a little oil until "glassy". Butter has the best taste, but oil will do.
Add the cooked cauliflower to the onion and fry a little longer.
pour the steamer water over the cauli and onion. season to taste and add a little jellied chicken stock. [those stockpots do well]
cook until it tastes nice and then blend.
serve with a little cream on top.
practically carb free. Delicious!

The knorr stockpots have 7.5g of carbs per pot. A lot of glucose syrup in them.
I don't use them for that reason.
