InsuJet Needle Free

Hello everyone. Hope u all will be fine.
I'm Type 1 Diabetic and i'm insulin dependent. I regularly inject insulin 3 time a day. So i want something which having needle free or very short needle. It would be best if it needle free like "InsuJet".
So Any one here who is using "InsuJet Needle Free Insuline device". Or any other device which is needle free or having very short needle.
I have seen InsuJet over the internet but i want to purchase if it suitable for insulin.

I have never heard of Insuljet. For my pens I use a very short, "Nano" size needle by BD.

Do you have access to inhalable fast-acting insulin for bolus shots? I also have Afrezza and hardly use bolus shots at all now.

Both are options in lieu of long needles!

No experience of it myself but I believe @miszu got an Insujet earlier this year. Hopefully she'll see this tag. :)
 
Thanks, for letting me know about this post @db89 ! I just commented on another thread about Insujet, so I ll copy my message to here as well.

Just to give you and others information, for the ones interested about Insujet.... I did use Insujet for some time... maybe a week I believe. First few tries were okay, that time I was, well newly diagnosed so I was so so happy when the Insujet arrived from the UK to me. Im sad to say this, but after about a week I stopped using it as I saw that Insujet in real can't work for me... Well, I maybe didn't experiment with it enough to say for sure that it's not good, again I was quite inexperienced with my whole diabetes, but I immediately became depressed that it's just not doing its job... So it's been sitting on my desk for months now.
There are a few things tho that tells me to try it again and see how it performs. Now I know my diabetes better, know what readings I usually get after meal etc so I can make a better overall review. First few tries with Insujet I didnt feel a thing when injecting, it didnt leave bruises, then it started leaving bruises... Still no pain when injecting, but bruises were there and they were painful. So Im wondering if I started doing something wrong, absorption seemed to turn bad too after my first few tries... Ive been getting busier in life, but I think I ll give it another shot in the future and definitely update people who are interested.

@miszu so how was ur experience with Insujet. What do u think is it ok to use or not ????

I have read about Afrezza and it sounds ideal. Does anyone think this will be available in the U.K any time soon?

I cant say its good or bad, because I experienced with it for a short time only while I was still a newbie with diabetes. I ll say this tho. If you r okay with needles then might not worth ur energy trying Insujet, but if u have needle phobia then definitely give it a try. I toughened my mind and just continued using needles, now Im fine with my novopen and meanwhile I totally forgot about Insujet existing. It was long ago, back then I just checked my BG every 15 mins to see how Insujet performs, if the insulin absorbs right etc, but I really didnt know much that time to make a stable review of this device. Im getting home late today, but if thats okay, let me try and see for my dinner bolus how it works again after this long time and let you know about it ! :) Besides its not quite on the inexpensive side so I would really like to try it again myself before I recommend anyone to buy it.

@miszu its ok my friend. I have not insujet. I have just seen it over the internet. Hmmm. Let me know if it is good to use.

Novofine 30g 8mm pen needles. Cheap. Just bought a box of 100 for $45 USD. Will last me 2 years and I use 2 different pens.
 
8mm?!?!?!? God that makes me shudder! I'm using BD Microfine 4mm needles at the moment, never heard of the Insujet before but now definitely considering it :)
 
I tried an insulin jet system about 12-14 years ago (sorry, I don't remember the name), and I appreciate technology has probably progressed, but the one I tried was not for me. I found the insulin delivery was unreliable, as I never knew exactly how much had made it through the skin, and there was often at least some remaining outside. I also found it more painful than injections and put it down to the fact that it was just a needle sized jet of insulin being forced into the skin. So in summary, for me personally, I lost interest in it within a few days of starting to use it. I hope things have improved, but I would not be tempted by it again. Good luck in your search though.
