Insulin and a substantial breakfast

Just asking if 15g carbs from a banana and 3g from a fromage frais is enough for a breakfast when taking 4units of insulin. Need a quick exit breakfast and a grilled English breakfast works well for me but not when I need to be out the door at 7am.

What's your insulin ratio to carbs at breakfast? Mine for example is 2:5 units to every 10g of carbs so for a 20g carb breakfast I take 5 units of novo rapid (assuming no correction is needed)...

Your postprandial bg readings will tell you if 4 units was enough or too little.

Just been told to take 4 units of humalog 100U/ml with my breakfast. My one hour readings on this breakfast were 4.6. Usually after breakfast it's in the high 6's.
