I’ll try and be brief….. about 6 weeks ago I had what the Gp said was ‘a virus’ as I couldn’t stay awake at work, my blood sugars were in the 20’s and I had joint paint and muscle aches all over. I asked for a blood test but he said it wasn’t necessary. I’ve been type 1 for 48 years. I’ve not seen a consultant since 2020 and am between nurses as my diabetes clinic has closed. I was told in January that I’d have an appointment in May. It’s been cancelled until the end of July.
I’m now rudderless with a Gp who although he knows I’m still running in my 20’s,my hba1c has gone from 7 to 8 on my Libre, still maintains I don’t need a blood test. I’m also coeliac, on thyroxine and epilepsy meds, so weight gain is affecting those. Also my last nurse put me on Metformin as well as Fiasp and Tresiba. It was great. Plus I’m 57, have put weight on now and am seeing a personal trainer and on HRT. No change. It’s all making me really fed up. I’m wondering if I had Covid and it’s lingering or some other autoimmune thing like rheumatoid arthritis. I feel totally rubbish. Diabetes is something that you’re on your own with a lot as you’ll all know, and that along with hostile receptionists telling me it’s not my time for blood tests, means I’m feeling like a nuisance x

I think the suggestion to ring 111 is a good one. Unfortunately it isn't a brilliant service but a friend of mine with a very poorly 80 year old husband got an excellent service and the doctor stayed on the line whilst she took his blood pressure etc. Good luck and keep strong. I also think it's worth making a formal complaint. Worth a try. Good luck.

Hi,

Are you using Tapatalk to post on the forum?
It’s a known parsing error glitch thing with the app..

Try using the forum through your browser, which may help others interpret your numbers?.

Best wishes..

No I don’t think so? I’ve tried through the browser but am bombarded with ads and things that delete replies. I’m now on [emoji[emoji6]] after a day of a lettuce and fennel salad. Had insulin too. Hopefully it’ll break the pattern x

I’m no techie but thot was tough! I’m now sat on a [emoji6]. wondering if I should have a biscuit before bed like I normally would. This is the best result I’ve had in weeks so it’s kind of a novelty. Wonder if I broke the cycle with a zero carb day? Who knows. I feel rough though as I’ve also been ‘Glutened’ ( coeliac ) so I’m hoping I can also fix that.

It’s come back?! Not in the app now x
I’m sorry your still having problems @conniecar, I will pass these on to admin, mods can’t deal with the technical side of things, just so I’m clear with what you’ve tried

The last post you made was done through the browser on the main forum site and not the app or TapTalk?

When did you last update the Tapatalk app?

Looks like you’re still online using it?
