Insulin Injection Sites

I'm trying to find information about whether because your skin is being pierced does the body clot naturally because of that. Or what actually happens to the injection site after you've injected i.e. does the insulin remain there for a length of time or what happens.
 
Do you have diabetes? Are you concerned about injections?
