Type 1 Insulin on holiday

Can anyone advice me please on what to do about my lantus back ground insulin that I usually take abt 23.00-24.00..... I am going to Mexico and they are 6hrs behind us shud I take it at 18.00 with my humalog which I will be taking with my evening meal. I wad appreciate any advice

Try to continue to take you basal (Lantus) every 22 to 26 hours apart.
If this ends up at an inconvenient time in Mexico, move the time at an hour or two day by day.

If you have time, switch to either Tresiba or Toujeo, which have more flexibility. Helps a lot when you travel across time zones.
