I would like to stop my glucophage XR 1000mg per day and rather increase my Lantus long acting units to compensate. Advice please.

Hi. I suggested to my DN that she should reduce my 2000mg to 1000mg as I was now on insulin. She readily did this. Do discuss with the DN and she can then change your prescription if agreed. I have needed to increase my Basal a bit as expected.
