Hello. I have just made the worst mistake in my. 29 yrs as a type 1. Instead of having my usual 3u of humalin I, I have taken my morning dose of 19u.
I have been testing every 30 min since (about 2 hours ago) but it doesn't normally kick in till the 3 hour mark. I am going to test all night at 30 min intervals but I can't work out what else to do. We have glucose on stand by, hypo gel and glucogen ready but I am frightened.

It was a stupid mistake and just me not thinking ( I have been ill with tummy bug all day)

Oh dear! Tiring 24 hours ahead of you I'd think! Hope your night was ok, sounded like you had company.

Maybe phone your DSN first thing and see if you should reduce your morning dose today since you'll already have insulin working?

On the bright side, at least it wasn't your fast acting insulin!
