Hi all.

Hope we're all feeling happy in our ranges.

Can anyone advise where I could buy a "funky" pen holder?

I currently have a blue Novo-nordisk, which isn't cutting it on the style front.

Regards
Andy

From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere!

Hi Andy,

That's an interesting one because I stipulate when I renew my Novo pens that I'm given the brushed steel version.
This tends to come in a case which is a little like those cases for car radio removable front panels....? Which can accommodate 3 needles & a spare cartridge in a purpose built moulded interior...

I'm not really a fan of the miniature wash bag look..

I've been searching for one too - I have the blue Novo-nordisk too and well, being a bit of a girly girl it's just not for me! I also hate the feeling of it, it makes my skin crawl every time I have to touch it haha! :)

Hello,

Just to clarify.. We are talking about the blue wallet type thing with the Velcro fastener...?

Lol.yep, Sorry, I just googled... I didn't realise there were so many different types.. I have a black zip case for the Clikstar Lantus..

But this "flight case" for my Novo.. V rock & roll..:p

Ok... so maybe I'm looking for something pink and sparkly... Suppose I could make one! :p

You could do the "Blue Peter" & make yer own...? :D

Converting a makeup case or such like might do the trick?

I quite often dump my stuff in this.. (I'm sat at home nursing a man flu. So messing with the pad camera. I don't normally carry pictures of my D stuff.) :banghead:

Ooh how are you finding the accu check mobile? Mine just got delivered a few days ago so I haven't had the chance to try it out yet

I like it.. Been using it a few months now & may need to review your technique..?
I like to pull out a fair bit of blood anyway.. Keeping the meter upright, bring the blood drop to the ribbon & alow capillary action to draw it in..
Quick & easy. No pots of strips to carry & the meter will tell you how many remaining tests you have left on the cartridge...

Funny enough I have two... One as a spare.. They sent me a case with the second one..

Is that the NovoPen 3 or 4 Jaylee?

If you switch to the NovoPen Echo you can have a choice of colours, mine is blue :)

It's the trusty old MKiii... Which also comes in a ghastly blue/orange. Red/yellow...

I've seen the echo. The guy that supply's our fresh fish has one..? It has a last dose memory readout doesn't it??

It does Jaylee, really handy for those times when you can't remember if you've bolused or not, the added bonus is it also doses in half units.

sounds like it, mine is velcro as well...............going to look into that stainless steel 1 though

Go for it..! I fancy they are a little more stealthy/discrete if jabbing in public. As opposed to a fire engine red jobby..?
