I am interested in this too....I am going to ask the dsn at my clinic and then also my consultant when I go for my next review. I'm guessing just showing a keen interest and positive attitude towards managing your sugars will help. Although i did read that currently in my local area(Brighton) that you have to have a hba1c of 8.7+ for a while or to be scared of/have a large number of hypos were you have needed assistance to qualify for a pump?
But it's still worth a try...
There is a number of things before you can be accepted for one. These include Hba1c over 9 and already completed a Daphne course or something similar. I live in Northern Ireland, I'm not sure if the credentials are the same for England.
