If my BG is above 10 in the hour window I should take my Lantus, can I take fast acting insulin to reduce it?

The time you take your Lantus has no effect on taking corrections of fast acting insulin, they're two completely different things.

However, assuming you're in the UK, be careful taking correction doses before bed. If in doubt, contact your diabetes nurse to ask what you'd best do in this situation.
