Hi, type 1 diabetic here. I am in 28th week of my pregnancy and my basal insulin requirement has increased significantly (lantus : 24 units to 35 units). I am just wondering will insulin level (both bolus and basal) keep on increasing till delivery or will they stabilize after 30th week of pregnancy?

Unfortunately my pregnancy was a long time ago now, 12 years, so cannot remember how my doses panned out over the term of mine, however I don't think there's a definite answer to your question as hormones and weight will both impact on your requirements, so it's a good idea to keep a diary and track your bg levels and doses, also speak to your DSN and see what their advice is in regards to how dosing will change/develop during the next 12 weeks.
