Hi all,
I have a quick question..
I have been on an insulin pump for about 8 years, never had any issues and my control has been great.
However, I've recently started doing exercise regularly (5 times a week, running circuit training and weights) and this has had a massive impact on my insulin sensitivity.
Before if I was to eat a certain meal and bolus 20 units of insulin everything would be fine, but now 10 units seems to be too much!
I now seem to have lost all control of my sugar levels and hypo quite often. My question is, should I now re-check my basal rates and re-calculate all the insulin/carb ratios, etc?
It's been a long long time since I did this and wondered if anyone has any step by step instructions on the best way?
Thanks
Craig
