I am on insulin after heart operation. the consultants stopped Metformin and Glicoszide due to sluggish kidney function. I am struggling with the correct dose although it worked for three months with 20 units as prescribed. Now I am feeling dizzy and sweaty at 6pm before my taking the insulin and dinner. This is quite dangerous not knowing what to do.
I decided to stop insulin in the morning dose of 10 units. My blood sugar is 6.5 in the morning and 6.5 in the evening. It goes up during the day due to breakfast and lunch.
I am advised not to play with insulin. So I took the normal dose 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening yesterday and fell ill again in this morning at 5am with dizziness and low blood sugar dropped to 4.
What should I do?
