I’m very low in the morning, so should I take the insulin before breakfast or after?

I usually leave it until after or at least until I start to see it rising.
It may depend on how long it takes your insulin and food to affect your blood sugar, but my times are not consistent and if I take the insulin first I could end up going low.

If you are very low, as in hypo then that would suggest your basal insulin in slightly to high

Now if your bg is above 4 that’s not very low. So depending in the bolts insulin you are taking would determine when to take it

Humalog and novorapid take about 12 to 15 minutes to start working and peak at about 50 minutes

Carbs work faster than that so I would take before …. By every one is different test what’s best for you

Ultra rapids like fiasp id take just after eating but again id test to see the effects and the best results for me

It's usually best to take your insulin before breakfast so it can start working by the time you eat. But it's a good idea to check with your doctor or diabetes educator to make sure that's right for your specific situation.
