Type 1 Insulin

Hi.. I'm staying with my Fiancé's family and I have run out of insulin. .. I don't return home until tomorrow afternoon. Help! Any tips

If you ring your drs they will fax a prescription ( e mail) to a chemist of your choice

Yes, do try to get a script to a local chemist. If not just keep the carbs down to near zero or whatever until you get back home.

Ailliebee is right, just ring your gp surgery and they will fax/email a prescription over to a pharmacy near to where you are staying, if they can't do this pop along to a local hospital and they might be able to give you a insulin cartridge to tide you over.

Not yet as my GP surgery is closed on a Saturday but I might try going to the local hospital tomorrow

Yes I'm sure they will help. An a&e dr can also write you a script. Id take your pens empty or not with you though
