do you need to tell insurance companies you were diagnosed type 2 for holiday insurance as you dont with car insurance. unless you take diabetic drugs which i dont ?

Yes. It's best to because if you don't they could void any claim, regardless of what that claim is for. It's a contract 'uberrimae fideii' meaning in good faith so it's up to you to tell them. Mine asked lots of questions about drugs etc and have noted that I am a diet controlled type 2.

i just tried a quote with insure and go and it asked me loads about the diabetes and what drugs i take etc and it didnt effect the premium so i guess its not going to cost me anymore

I don't think mine cost me any extra either
