Hi,
Its a long shot but am hoping someone may be able to help me
Basically my sister's rented house was flooded accidentally when the toilet overflowed. The water gushed out for ages and has ruined the bathroom, and seeped through the floor to the kitchen floor and ruined the laminate flooring there also
The landlord thinks she and her son may be out for months while the repairs are organised and the floors made safe.
The issue is now that she needs to be rehoused temporarily and the landlords insurance company have said that my sister's house contents insurance company must contribute towards the rehousing costs. I have never heard of that before?
She will talk to the CAB tomorrow for some advice, but has anyone here ever heard of that before please? Is it standard practice or something as far as you know?
Thanks
