Bulkbiker - no, the GP told me at my first appt when I advised him I intended to turn things round in terms of my health, that the surgery landlord had put his own diabetes into remission. However at my appt yesterday I got the impression that my HbA1c was such a turnaround in three months that he just could hardly believe the result. As a retired nurse I found that pretty entertaining...plus I can be a smug bast*rd when I am having a bit of fun and proving a point. ️

Ok, GP is pretty supportive of my strategy re management. I gave him a medical research article on berberine yesterday for his perusal. He asked if I was taking berberine and I said no. Two reasons 1. I would always discuss with him first and 2. I can’t find a reliable source. He remarked that he thought a lot of good research on herbal based medicines would come from the East in the future. I think we get on well. Not referred me to nurses for diabetic advice, probably keen to keep homicide stats under control

I didnt know that. I have huge numbers of really nice emojis on my iPad and esecially like the wine glasses and fizz bottles!
