Interesting article on Toxins and Diabetes

It appears at first glance like a load of quackery to me.

If ‘toxins’ caused my diabetes, why haven’t they prevented me from reversing my condition and massively improved health?

I got about halfway before giving up. To advertise books in a supposed clinical article does not bode well. But the main reason I gave up was that correlation (even given that the author does write at one point that correlation does not prove causation) is cited throughout the first half (?) of the piece.
I then skipped to YouTube to find the author has quite a few interviews/presentations. If anyone is interested please be aware that the author is a Naturopathic Doctor who founded his own university and in these videos promotes his books and recommends supplements.

I don’t think it says causes all diabetes but perhaps some. I just thought it was interesting concept particularly as I worked and lived in a very toxic polluted environment and am a thin diabetic. It was just a thought.
