Interesting Diabetic Review :)

No problem :) I thought you may have misread as the latest edition came out last month sometime.

The newest (sixth) edition is £23 or so with Amazon Prime, and the prior (fifth) edition is around £12 and available for digital download. This is what I was referring to when I was on about saving a tenner.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Grant
I'd look for the digital download. There isn't a huge amount that will have changed between the 5th and 6th Editions, as Insulin pumps and theory haven't really changed much in the past 5 years.

I would be careful of relying on any pump or bg meter that depended on internet access just in case money gets tight or broadband access gets scuppered by whatever.

Hi @iHs,

Was just looking into whether to buy a book in digital format or paperback, and whether to get the latest edition or not.

No internet controlled smart pumps yet:)

Hi @tim2000s,

I've bought the sixth edition last night and as it's via Prime; it's already been delivered. If I could get my hands on a fifth edition then I'd be happy to compare them and let everyone know if there's any significant updates that warrant the need for the latest book.

Cheers,
Grant

It depends on affordability, personally I always like to have the latest editions when buying books like Pumping Insulin & Think like a Pancreas, it's really your choice Grant. Best wishes.

Edit, just seen that you've purchased the sixth edition, do let us know how they compare :)

If I come across a copy of the fifth edition, then I'll be sure to let you know how it compares to the latest copy:)

Many thanks again,
Grant

Sounds like you had a good appointment keep us informed on start date for pump :D
I'll be sure to let you all know what the outcome is, either before or after my next review in April. I'm not sure how this process works but I'll keep you all updated:)
