Interesting view on Fats and Protein.

I've found just the opposite - after ially losing a lot of weight very quickly, I've remained the same (within a kilo or so up or down) for nearly four years now. I used to joke on the Frday weigh in thread that my scales were permanently stuck at 95 kilos. But since my glucose levels are reasonably low and normally very stable I've actually become disinclined to bother about losing any more... And well padded Robbities are definitely much better suited to cope with all this nasty cold snowy stuff currently floating around.

It is still early days for me. My problem has been stopping the weight loss which wasn't a great amount anyway. Just goes to show how unique we are.

Thanks for the info.... I have stalled in my weight loss for the past few days and its probably my fat intake that has interfered with the program!

I am 29.5hrs into a water fast that was supposed to be 24hrs but i felt good and have carried on. If that gives me a kick start I will lower my fat intake when I come off the fast.

cheers for the info

...Tinned peaches and Carnation cream is one of my memories of Sunday tea at grandma's house. (weirdly, with a slice of bread!)

I remember having that for dessert as well (except we used fresh cream). The bread was to soak up the syrup (and it was syrup back then). I always thought it was a French thing, but I guess not!

Grandma never left Lancashire, so not a French thing! I didn't realise why we got the slice of bread with it. Yes, it was syrup in those days.
