I'm considering intermittent fasting alongside my LCHF diet. I've only just realised the benefits from the forum. What will the effect be on my hba1c for those of you that have tried it please. My LCHF was 62 at dx on 8th December. My weight was 14 stone 3lbs. I'm down to 11 stone 11 and my hba1c is now 42. I don't want to lose more than another 7lbs as I'm quite tall and my bmi is a healthy 24. I'm still on a mission to reverse this if I can and from watching the videos by Dr Jason Fung i feel it is definitely possible. His thinking makes so much sense. Any help appreciated.

Well I started IF as soon as I was diagnosed. Just cut out breakfast and have tea or coffee and don't eat until lunch at the earliest. Then only eat a ketogenic diet. It certainly seemed to work wonders for my HbA1c.

Like @bulkbiker I’ve found that intermittent fasting has been very helpful for reducing HbA1c. Also skip breakfast and eat only one meal a day a couple of times a week (sometimes more often). Would advise experimenting and finding a pattern that suits you.
