Intermittent fasting

I can’t remember which of the books I read from here https://diabetes.gifts/top-5-books-every-type-1-diabetic-should-read/ (I read them all when I got diagnosed) but one of them warned about being careful with ketones when fasting. I think with a CGM it’s not a big risk though
I agree. Provided you aren't ill or having very high numbers, then a type 1 shouldn't be making ketones in the danger one. For example nutritional ketosis (achieved by fasting and a low carb diet i.e. naturally) is a lot lower than diabetic ketoacidosis which is dangerous. IF you have ever had the latter it is fairly obvious because you will feel incredibly ill. Sadly many doctors aren't clued up about nutrition and so confuse ketosis and ketoacidosis.
