Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, I am going to ask my Doctor on Tuesday as they are not open over the bank holiday weekend but I am curious if others are thinking the same as me. I can now view my test results online, I don't have any previous results to go by so interpreting this result has me slightly baffled if I am correct. But reading this multiple times over has me thinking that my hba1c result is 40mmol/mol. Curious to see others' opinions of this. Thanks!

Hi @Nicola M - I would agree with your reading of your result. (After the semi colon ( ; ), the figures are the interpretation).

Certainly looks like you have scored a 40, which is at the top end of normal.
Usually I would give you a well done and hit the winner button. But I think your Dr might consider it too low for someone with T1, sailing a bit close to the wind sort of thing.

Thank you both, I'm just as surprised by the results if I'm being honest!

According to my data, I'm in range 72% of the time with 1% of the time being shown as "low" (3-3.9) and the rest above range so I'm not as overly worried about it being as low as it is :)

A very old fashioned view with CGMs these days. As someone with a 41 and few hypos (none in the last month) I would object if I was told it was too low.

Not my view, I'm T2, I know nothing about cgm's. But I have seen lots of posts on here where their Dr's have wanted hba1c 'higher
If I'm wrong and no Dr is likely to think that, I apologise.
