Hello, does anyone here do insulin injections to the muscle? Like dr.Bernstein does for corrections? Is it possible to use pens for that or a different syringe needed?

I’ve tried the deltoid with a 6mm needle, as he suggests, when I wanted to hit a spike in a hurry, but it didn’t seem to make any difference. I’d be interested to hear if anyone has had it work! Was only 2 units in this case.
 
I tried it again yesterday, injected into my deltoid and then did the physio exercises I have to do for my slightly frozen shoulder, to work the muscle. Brought my sugars into range much more quickly.
