You asked a question and you have been answered. You don't like the answers thats fine. I don't see anything Scientific about what you propose when it involves the waste of perfectly good blood glucose test strips, which for the majority of people are prescribed. Many cannot afford to buy their own, many are left in the dark because they cannot get them prescribed even though they know they need them.

I don't like the concept of what you proposed. You are non diabetic, you stated that. I speak as a 14+ year Diabetic. As for people with 'chips' on shoulders.......that remark shows how little you know about Diabetes and it's management. I suppose it's nice to have the 'brass' to fund such things. Are we supposed to be impressed ? Well I for one am not, whatever you may think.

Which would you prefer, open debate or just something that satisfies your own curiosity. You want to experiment then go ahead, just don't encourage Diabetic's to go along with your idea. People here can speak for themselves and if they want to follow your example, wasting prescribed blood glucose test strips they are capable of making their own minds up. I have made my own mind up and it is waste of NHS resources which could be put to better use. There is enough waste goes on in the NHS without adding to it. If you have enough to throw away how about sending some to the many Diabetic's here.......I am sure they would appreciate your benevolence......

As for participation here.......everybody can participate, that's what a Forum is about. Not somewhere where someone states or asks something and then gets uptight about the answers. You don't like the answers........that I am afraid is your problem my friend. No rules have been broken, no thread derailed, it was all about your OP......just comments about what you stated.

It's an open Forum for debate and discussion, where all who wish to are free to participate. A thread is not your own personal domain, not a place where you ask something then you tell us what you want to hear. Anybody can comment if they so wish. New Member or not, that's what happens here......

See my last response which you deleted. Rather hypocritical given your long diatribe below, which by the way is factually incorrect and totally missing the point.

So as soon as you do not agree, you delete?

That, "my friend" speaks volumes about you.

You also clearly missed my offer of free meters and strips, again, why let the FACTS interfere with a large pile of ASSumptions!

Priceless.

Noise.........

For the avoidance of doubt - not content with misquoting me and inventing utter fiction, as well as locking my posts and deleting posts, you also clearly missed my offer of free meters and strips in last account, again, why let the FACTS interfere with a large pile of ASSumptions!

For the avoidance of doubt, since my Doctor does nor even yet know if I have diabetes or not, what makes you think you do? READ carefully what people write, don't put words in their mouth. Not difficult once you get the hang of it.

You may not understand the scientific merit of the debate, nor that plenty people do BUY their own strips, but that's your issue, not mine. This is my final communication with you. Anyone whom deletes my posts when they cannot rebut the facts is not capable nor worthy of debate.

Priceless.

Sure you have. Just like you apparently magically know my medical status.

As per last post - you are incapable of debate. Delete that which we cannot argue against - how frightfully original.

Ah - my posts are now unlocked. How kind of you. Thank you for allowing me to format my paragraphs and text, to which you took great exception before.

As stated.....NOBODY has deleted ANY of your posts. You are mistaken, it is still here :

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=21019&p=190541#p190533

Nobody has done anything to ANY of your posts either. Again you are mistaken. All actions are logged so if you wish to see proof you should take it up with the Administrator. Nothing is hidden here.

Try harder.

I assure you I am not mistaken and have irrefutable evidence, as well as several first hand witnesses whom have watched the sorry excuse that passes for "moderation" here.

Your administrator can avail of requisite information - such is the nature of the transactional database and forum backend.

Not interested in engaging with those whom resort to dirty tactics - you are well aware of your reprehensible actions tonight, including removing long detailed reply and locking/unlocking my posts as and when it suits you.

As above, consider this my final communication with you on the matter.

When we have someone who clearly takes issue with Moderation here, all posts are routinely locked.

You have now decided to make unfounded and unjust allegations about the moderation on this Forum.

That is no longer tolerated here and in accordance with Forum Policy you are suspended for a period of 7 days to reflect on your conduct on this Forum.
