- People who are touchy.......feign indignation at the slightest thing. Hypocrites, bullies and cowards.
Carbmonster.
You asked a question and you have been answered. You don't like the answers thats fine. I don't see anything Scientific about what you propose when it involves the waste of perfectly good blood glucose test strips, which for the majority of people are prescribed. Many cannot afford to buy their own, many are left in the dark because they cannot get them prescribed even though they know they need them.
I don't like the concept of what you proposed. You are non diabetic, you stated that. I speak as a 14+ year Diabetic. As for people with 'chips' on shoulders.......that remark shows how little you know about Diabetes and it's management. I suppose it's nice to have the 'brass' to fund such things. Are we supposed to be impressed ? Well I for one am not, whatever you may think.
Which would you prefer, open debate or just something that satisfies your own curiosity. You want to experiment then go ahead, just don't encourage Diabetic's to go along with your idea. People here can speak for themselves and if they want to follow your example, wasting prescribed blood glucose test strips they are capable of making their own minds up. I have made my own mind up and it is waste of NHS resources which could be put to better use. There is enough waste goes on in the NHS without adding to it. If you have enough to throw away how about sending some to the many Diabetic's here.......I am sure they would appreciate your benevolence......
As for participation here.......everybody can participate, that's what a Forum is about. Not somewhere where someone states or asks something and then gets uptight about the answers. You don't like the answers........that I am afraid is your problem my friend. No rules have been broken, no thread derailed, it was all about your OP......just comments about what you stated.
It's an open Forum for debate and discussion, where all who wish to are free to participate. A thread is not your own personal domain, not a place where you ask something then you tell us what you want to hear. Anybody can comment if they so wish. New Member or not, that's what happens here......
