Oh goodness, hard to pick favourites, depends on mood. A few I listen to often are Murray Peria, Queen, Ladysmith Black Mumbazo, Anna, Ella Fitzgerald

Music genre - no favourite, but I enjoy classical, blues, jazz, soul, . . .

Favourite flag? I'm worried by the recent rise of nationality as xenophobia but have warm feelings about the Greek flag (lovely Greek friends), the Native Australian flag, and the peace symbol on a flag

Camping? Yes, though the last time I realised that knees without cartelidge don't make for easy arising from the sleeping bag!

Love? Oh yes

Fake tan? Yes, in younger more body-conscious days

Countries visited: I've been lucky! France, Holland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Luxumburg, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Turkey, Jordan, Greece, Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, The Maldives, Bonaire, Curacao, Canada and the USA

Favourite City? No best place, but I really like Patras, Quebec, Lisbon and Valencia

5 TV programmes: Dateline (it's not what you think but what you think), any about design and art if done well, Have I Got News for You, The Vicar of Dibley, MASH

Films: Dr Strangelove, Amelie, anything by Tati, In the Heat of the Night, and I wish I could remember the title of the one I saw two months ago!!!!!

Wealthy? Nah - travelled when we had 2 incomes or went to work in a place

Work? Retired

Subjects studied: in formal education the usual 'o' and 'A' levels, English and History at Uni - outside formal education, whatever I'm interested in at the time

Like most: ability to be happy with very little as long as there are green leaves and good friends

Like least? Plagued by bad memories when blood sugars low

Hi I'm Rob, just diagnosed at 56 following Pancreatitis. I'm starting Metformin today, as I'm a consistent 12 after fasting.
I'm early retired a couple of years ago having worked in IT for 30 plus years, 26 of which with IBM.
I have a lovely wife, two fantastic boys who are 21 and 25, and a beautiful Golden Retriever.

Hi I'm Joanna, Jo for short
New here & newly diagnosed in the last 2 weeks. My family has T1 & childhood so I should be used to it, but I'm useless.
I have ordered a book on diet plan & a recipe book. I have a very healthy diet but no idea about carbs (which I love)
My levels were 22.55 but this morning I was 10.2 I think this is good progress.
Im feeling loads better, even just in the last couple of days.
My Dr here in Bulgaria is brilliant. I am on Metformin twice a day with another tablet I take 30 mins before food. I take a profile tomorrow & see the Dr on Thursday before my trip to UK. I'm hoping to just continue with this.
Should I but myself a testing kit? At the moment I have borrowed a friends to take my profile.
