Twice, really. My ex-fiance was number one. My husband is number 2...though obviously I love him the most.

We cruise a lot, though we don't fly, so haven't been far. I love Norway and Iceland as they are both geologically stunning. We did go to Greenland but that was disappointing really. Other than that, it's the usual European places, though Russia was a steep learning curve.

Probably Lisbon at the moment.

Yes if you count contentment, a love of life and close friends the currency. If you're talking money, then I'm very poor indeed.

Used to be a music/primary school teacher for 15 years. Had a breakdown and recovered. Now a teaching assistant at a better school.

Degree in combined studies: education, music and geography. Would love to study counselling or something in the caring profession.

At the moment, my 9.5 stone weight loss in 13 months and the fact that I can walk into any shop and buy a size 8 or 10 and know it fits. Size 24 was hard to buy for!!!!

My name is Ruth. I'm not IT savvy enough to copy all the questions and answer them!
I have been on the edge of diabetes for a few yrs and fell off the cliff/was diagnosed T2 about a year ago.

My husband had diabetes and through bad management (his own & medics) developed major complications inc neuropahty,amputation of toes and other leg below knee, retinopathy , kidney problems etc etc. Went to meet his maker 6yrs ago.

You'd think I would have heeded the warnings, but ............. any way here I am having just found this forum.

I'm wanting to follow the Newcastle diet or similar but having trouble persuading the medics who put me straight on to metformin even though I was only just over the cut off point when first diagnosed. Also they are pushing me VERY hard to take statins, but I'm refusing. (Cholesterol 5.6 but bad ratio of "good/bad").

I'm a creative person, love painting, crafts, singing etc. None of which are particularly physical, so I'm trying to up my exercise.

I'm a Christian, ( faith filled NOT religeous) and I try to live my life according to God's rules for living.

I enjoy life as much as I can and want to do so as long as possible!

Life has to be a bit nuts, otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together
